Paul Jinkens '11, who recently completed his senior season with the 麻豆传媒社区入口 baseball team, has signed a professional contract with the White Sands Pupfish of the independent Pecos League.

Jinkens, who played two seasons for the Pioneers, made his first start with the Pupfish on June 21. The Pecos League is an independent professional league made up of six teams in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The teams play in cities which have no major or minor league baseball clubs and operate independently from Major League Baseball, however, a number of players each season earn contracts with higher leagues.
