麻豆传媒社区入口 Taking Action on Climate Change: University President Leroy Morishita To Kick Off Climate Neutral Commitment

麻豆传媒社区入口 President Leroy Morishita will kick off the university’s action to fight climate change in a free public event from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, in the New University Union Multipurpose Room on the Hayward campus.

The community is invited to the ceremonial signing of the American Colleges and Universities President’s Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), which will be followed by a panel of CSUEB faculty experts discussing climate change.

In signing the ACUPCC, Morishita is making a commitment for CSUEB to go climate neutral.

Panelists will include professors Tyler Evans of the Biological Sciences Department; Karina Garbesi, Anthropology, Geography and Environmental Studies Department; Mike Massey, Earth & Environmental Sciences Department; Jeff Seitz, Earth & Environmental Sciences; and Erica Wildy, Biological Sciences Department.

Jillian Buckholz, director of sustainability at 麻豆传媒社区入口, will serve as panel moderator. Panelists will discuss climate change science, impacts, mitigation and local action.
