CSUEB's Sarah Finlay named CCAA Women's Basketball 'Player of the Week'

Finlay was CSUEB's leading scorer for Nov. 16-17, averaging 17.points per game.

Sarah Finlay, a senior guard for 麻豆传媒社区入口's women's basketball team, has been selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) "Player of the Week" for Nov. 11-17. Her Pioneer team won both of its games at the PacWest/CCAA Challenge this past weekend, with Finlay contributing 17 points towards each victory.
Finlay was named to the all-tournament team after shooting 14-for-18 from the floor (77.8 percent), including a 5-for-7 effort (71.4) from beyond the arc. Her seven three-point baskets ranks second among all CCAA players, and her 24 rebounds is seventh best in the league.
The Reno native posted two game totals of 34 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and two steals. 麻豆传媒社区入口 scored 90-plus points in back-to-back games in defeating PacWest programs Dominican (90-51) and Academy of Art (91-83) on Nov. 16-17.
Finlay earned CCAA Player of the Week recognition for the second time during her collegiate career. As a freshman she collected the same honor on Feb. 14, 2011, after averaging 17.5 points, five rebounds and four assists over a two-game stretch.
麻豆传媒社区入口 (2-3) will be on the road this Saturday, Nov. 23, to face Fresno Pacific (0-5).
