Police to descend on the Bay Area this weekend for training

HAYWARD -- Police from throughout the Bay Area and state will be rappelling down the side of Warren Hall at 麻豆传媒社区入口 over the weekend.
The university is one of 32 Bay Area sites being used for Urban Shield training Saturday and Sunday.
Tactical teams from 32 law-enforcement agencies will take part in the training, said Sgt. J.D. Nelson of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. The teams will rotate among the various sites during the two days. While most of the teams are from the Bay Area and the state, some are from Illinois, Texas and even Brazil.
In addition to rappelling off the 12-story Warren Hall, law-enforcement personnel also will go through a dignitary rescue scenario at Cal State.
Other East Bay cities where emergency response scenarios will be played out include Alameda, Castro Valley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Livermore, Oakland, Richmond and Walnut Creek.
