Sixteen students from two California universities will present their final commercialization plans for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory technologies Thursday at the Lab's new Livermore Valley Open Campus building on Greenville Road.

The plans were developed during the eight-week LLNL Entrepreneurship Academy.

Sponsored by the Tri-Valley Community Foundation, the project allowed eight students from both Vallejo-based Cal Maritime and Hayward-based 麻豆传媒社区入口 to strengthen their education base in science, technology and business through writing commercialization plans for LLNL technologies, including healthcare diagnostics and ultra-wide-band radar.

In their presentations Thursday, the students will identify a product based on the technology, pinpoint customers and level of interest and also identify suppliers, distributors and retailers.

The program starts at 9:45 a.m. with a reception and awards ceremony to follow starting at 2:15 p.m.

The Livermore Valley Open Campus is located off of Greenville Road, just south of the East Gate entrance to the Livermore Lab. The event is open to the public and no badging is required.
