PSA gives creek a voice

Part of the reason it was standing room only in City Council chambers on Wednesday evening was the scheduled debut of Creek Without a Voice, a public service announcement created by MUSD’s Environmental Studies Academy and 麻豆传媒社区入口 students. The students participated in a three-semester course that taught them how to raise funds for, write, film, edit and distribute a cinematic product.

The PSA focused on Alhambra Creek and fostering concern and interest in the health of the local watersheds. Enthusiastic extras, culled from the community, thanked the City Council for granting an initial $10,000 in seed money to get the project off the ground. City Engineer Tim Tucker proved to be quite the actor in a hilarious speaking role, but Alhambra Creek, and the filmmakers, were the stars of the show, Dr. Rona Zollinger commented to Council.
