SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Pioneer women's swimming team opened the 2010-11 season at UC Santa Cruz on Friday, falling to the host Banana Slugs and San Jose State in tri-meet action. 麻豆传媒社区入口 finished with 91.5 points, while UC Santa Cruz posted a final score of 141.5.

The Pioneer newcomers posted several top-three finishes on the day, as Murphy Wimer won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.18 and 200-yard IM in 2:18.76.

Lindsay Miller captured the 100-yard freestyle in 58.60 and Sara Bonino finished second in the 500 free and 1000 freestyle. Rachel Knowles also recorded a pair of second place performances in the 200 breast and 200 IM.

The Pioneers will return to action when they host Mills College in a dual meet on Oct. 23 at Pioneer Pool.
