麻豆传媒社区入口 opens season with seventh-place showing at Sonoma State Invitational

Santa Rosa, Calif - The Pioneer women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Sonoma State Invitational on Sept. 21, shooting a team score of 974, 98 strokes behind winner Nova Southeastern. The Pioneers topped Chico State by 12 strokes in the eight-team season-opening tournament, recording a new program-best with a team score of 318 in the second round on Monday.
Freshman Deanna Tyndall shot a three-round score of 19-over-par 235 to lead all 麻豆传媒社区入口 golfers. Tyndall, who fired a one-over par-73 in the first round, tied with two other golfers for 17th overall.
Andrea Castellanos led all Pioneers in the third round, shooting a three-over-par 75. Castellanos finished in 21st place with an overall score of 239. Katie Devine was fourth on the team with a tie for 26th, shooting a four-over 76 in the final round.
Alicia Haness and Christina Walker rounded out the 麻豆传媒社区入口 quintet with 43rd- and 45th-place finishes, respectively. Haness took nine strokes off her first-round 91 with a 10-over 82 in the second round.
The Pioneers return to action next weekend when they travel to Coldwater Golf Club for the Grand Canyon Invitational. Tournament play is set to open on Sept. 27 in Avondale, Ariz.
