HAYWARD, Calif. - Head Coach Barbara Pierce and the 麻豆传媒社区入口 softball team announced the signing of Cassidy Zeiner to a Conference Letter of Intent on Nov. 17, 2009. A highly-touted catcher out of Moreno Valley, Calif., Zeiner will join the Pioneers in the fall.

A senior at Ramona High School in Riverside, Zeiner is a four-year letterwinner for the Rams' softball team. Zeiner helped guide Ramona to the 2007 Inland Valley League title and a CIF Southern Section quarterfinals appearance. The Rams were also the 2007 Southern Section Academic Champions.

Zeiner has seven years of travel ball experience, playing with six teams including her current SoCal Filly's 18 Gold club. She has also participated in a number of skill camps, including Olympian Jessica Mendoza's camp, where she won the Team Player Award.

An advanced placement student at Ramona, Zeiner was an Honor Society member as junior after garnering a 4.0 grade point average. She is also a member of the Rowdy Rams Spirit Club and serves as the publicity officer for Invisible Children and Tom's Shoes at Ramona. A guitar and clarinet player, Zeiner also earned a varsity letter in tennis for the Rams as a junior.

As a freshman next year, Zeiner looks set to contribute immediately for the Pioneers in 2011. 麻豆传媒社区入口 loses senior catchers Sarah Davini and Rachelle Boone after the current campaign.
