Social media networking conference July 18

Learn social media networking strategies at the conference “Perfecting Networking, Connections and Social Media” from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. July 18 in the University Union multi-purpose room on the Hayward Hills campus.
The event is presented by the CSUEB Alumni Association and will teach participants how to network effectively and keep contacts engaged by using social media tools.
“Participants will learn how to use social media to demonstrate their values as professionals and expand their network,” said Kate Shaheed, director of alumni relations.
Many people belong to networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and the conference will teach participants how to get more professional use out of these sites, Shaheed said.
The conference is open to the community. The fee is $19 for general admission; $11 for CSUEB students/Alumni Association members.
Registration fees cover a professional headshot, stress-relieving chair massage, e-roster of conference participants, lunch and parking.
