French

Parlez-vous français? Whether your answer is "oui," "non," or "un tout petit peu," we encourage you to come and sample the variety of courses offered at 麻豆传媒社区入口 by the French Division of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.

We have several sections of first-year language courses available - MLL 1101, 1102 and 1103 - in which we will use all sorts of enticements to help you understand, speak, and write the French language and appreciate francophone culture and civilization throughout the world. The second year courses - MLL 2101, 2102 and 2103 - give you the opportunity to perfect your use of the language through the video series French in Action and the intriguing adventures of le Petit Nicolas, a French counterpart to our Dennis the Menace. Upper division offerings cover composition, grammar, literature, film, and civilization and culture.

French courses are currently being taught by Professors Teresa Myintoo and Yolanda Astarita Patterson.

We invite you to look in the Class Schedule and to join us in one of our sections. Classes are small enough to give every student the opportunity to participate in discussions on a daily basis.

If you have any questions, please contact Professor Myintoo at (510) 885-3474 or the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at (510) 885-3211.
