Ericka Huggins is Women’s History Month Keynote Speaker

Ericka Huggins — an educator, former Black Panther Party member, political prisoner, human rights activist and poet — will speak to Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇøÈë¿Ú as part of the Women’s History Month cultural awareness celebration. The hybrid event is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in the University Union MPR and on Zoom.

Huggins has lectured in the United States and internationally on human rights, restorative justice and the role of spiritual practice in sustaining activism and promoting social change for over 37 years.
The university’s cultural awareness month series is co-sponsored by the Diversity & Inclusion Student Center and the Office of Academic Affairs. The speaker series brings attention to the plight, struggles, and effective activism of many marginalized, underrepresented and underserved communities.
